FUCKINGART
This work in progress is comprised of footage I had from other projects, plus music composed for me by Walter Sickert for a narrative video series I abandoned.
The longer narrative piece wasn't conveying the mood I wanted, but this shorter piece, using much of the footage from the longer one, is beginning to come together to create the mood of anxiety I was striving for.
A Good Turn
A class assignment of an in-camera edit. Since three of the five in our group had done this assignment before, we decided to have a little more fun with it.
We did preform the actions in reverse, but it has been sped up, desaturated, and music added in post. Directions and post-production but the weirdos you see in the clip, DP and camera by others.
Dogshow of the Damned
Another class assignment that I decided to play around with. This assignment was to take 30 minutes of footage from a dog show, edit it down to exactly 30 seconds and add new audio.
Wake Test
A proof of concept video of effect to show state from dream to waking. This video uses footage from
my wedding party (filmed by Steve Sweeney) as with additional audio from Change series.
Negative Heart Society
A music video for Walter Sickert and the Army of Broken Toys. This was a continuation of my earlier experiments with chroma-keying. While the heart is not always completely keyed out of the video,
owing to the inconsistent colour and texture of the paper, I quite like the effect this way as the roughness and blurring of the edges of the torn paper mirror the wailing, distorted vocals in the song.
Sleep
The fourth from a six video series I did on how my life would be changing upon getting married. As it happens, I get the bed to myself quite a lot these days, and now I just miss the cat.
